Why bathroom cabinets fail
If your current vanity has a soft spot under the sink or a door that will not close, you have seen what steam and splashes do to cheap cabinets. The box is usually particle board, and once water gets into it the board swells and the paint lifts. We replace it with a box that is made to live in a wet room.
We build from cabinet-grade plywood with solid hardwood face frames, then seal the wood with conversion varnish, a hard, chemically cured finish that holds up better than house paint. As a cabinet maker, we also size the vanity to your wall. Store vanities come in set widths, so a small bathroom ends up with a gap or a door that hits the vanity. Ours is built to the 1/16th of an inch, with no filler strips.
A tip before you pick a vanity:
Choose your faucet and sink before the vanity design is final. A wall mounted faucet, a vessel sink and an undermount sink each need a different cabinet and countertop cutout, and it is much cheaper to plan for that on paper.
What we build for a bathroom
Most people see the finished room and not the pieces behind it. After we visit your house to look at the layout and how you use the space, these are the things we can build for you.
- ✓ Custom vanities. Single or double sink, floor standing or wall mounted, with dovetail drawer boxes and Blum undermount slides. A vanity runs $400 to $3,000, plus $200 to $1,000 to install.
- ✓ Granite and quartz vanity tops. Measured off the installed vanity, then fabricated and installed to match.
- ✓ Linen towers. Tall storage cabinets finished to match the vanity, for the towels and supplies that otherwise end up on a freestanding shelf.
- ✓ Medicine cabinets. Built from the same plywood and hardwood as your vanity, with soft close hinges.
- ✓ Makeup stations. A seated vanity with drawers and counter space, sized for the room you have.

Stone tops cut to your sink
A vanity top that is ordered before the vanity is final often arrives with the sink hole in the wrong place. We avoid that by setting the vanity first, then templating the top, meaning tracing it with a full size pattern, off the vanity standing in your bathroom. The sink cutout and faucet holes come from the real thing, not a drawing.

How a bathroom job goes
Here is the order we work in, so you know what comes after your first call. Cabinet work usually takes 8 to 12 weeks from the day you approve the design to installation.
Free visit and measurements
Call (951) 973-1265 and we come out to measure the bathroom, check where the plumbing sits and hear what you want to change. A written estimate follows.
3D design
You see the vanity in a full 3D rendering before any wood is cut. We choose the wood, stain, hardware and countertop together, and nothing is built until you approve it.
Building in our shop
Our crew builds the vanity with dovetail drawer boxes and mortise and tenon face frames, a joint where one piece fits into a slot in the other, then applies the conversion varnish.
Installation and countertop
We install the vanity, then the top is measured and fabricated to fit it. HEPA dust extraction runs during the work, and your floors and surfaces stay covered.
