The owners sought 100% in-house custom cabinetry to replace aging builder-grade units, opting for premium solid wood boxes and handcrafted faces that will outlast anything from a big-box store.
Materials & Techniques
Every drawer in this Menifee Lakes kitchen features dovetail joinery—the hallmark of furniture-grade construction. The cabinet boxes are built from furniture-grade plywood, not the particle board or melamine found in prefabricated units. We installed Blum undermount slides and soft-close hinges throughout the kitchen, providing whisper-quiet operation backed by a lifetime warranty.
The finish is a post-catalyzed conversion varnish, a commercial-grade coating that resists chipping, yellowing, and moisture damage far better than the latex or alkyd paints used on mass-produced cabinets. Our Design Process
Before building a single cabinet, we provided the homeowners with full 3D renderings so they could see the finished kitchen before we made the first cut.
